Bromberg Brothers Unveil Newest Las Vegas Location of Popular Fried Chicken Concept, Now with Boozy Milkshakes and Craft Cocktails

Las Vegas, NV (July 17, 2017) – Bruce and Eric Bromberg, chefs and co-owners behind Blue Ribbon Restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Miami, are thrilled to announce the opening of their newest location of Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken, within the Grand Bazaar Shops in Las Vegas. This marks the third iteration of the original Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken in New York City’s East Village, and is also the second in Las Vegas, joining its companion site in Downtown Summerlin. To coincide with their grand opening on the Strip, Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken will also unleash the Smorgasbird – the legendary triple decker fried chicken sandwich that launched the restaurant’s wildly popular ‘Sandwich of the Month’ series three years ago.

For the first time ever, Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is also introducing boozy milkshakes and craft cocktails – exclusively available at this location. The shakes come with whimsical titles and equally decadent combinations, like the Hazelberry (Chambord, Nutella) or The Dude (Kalua, Hanson Organic Vodka, Whipped Cream). Cocktails will be available from “The Fountain” in flavors like Las Vegas Lemonade and Hibiscus Margarita, or come “Old School,” like the Desert Mule or the Brown Sugar Bourbon. The rest of the menu features the Bromberg Brothers’ signature riff on fried chicken, which has earned rave reviews over the years from fans and critics alike, for its ultra-crispy exterior, punchy spice blend and honey drizzle. Additional offerings include a range of salads, drinks and desserts.

“There’s a palpable energy in Las Vegas, which is why we’ve always been drawn to it as a destination for our restaurants,” said co-owner Bruce Bromberg. Added his brother Eric, “We couldn’t be more excited to be opening on the iconic Strip, and further extending our Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken family in this illustrious city.”
With both indoor and outdoor seating available for guests, the restaurant is located within the Grand Bazaar Shops, the only open-air retail venue on the strip that spans two acres, and offers an immersive shopping experience, smack-dab in the center of Las Vegas Boulevard. For tourists or locals with an inkling for a night out on the town, Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken Grand Bazaar is open late, satisfying all cravings until 2:00 AM.

The opening of this new outpost also coincides with the unveiling of the epic Smorgasbird as the July sandwich of the month. This sensational sandwich has been a hit since it debuted in 2015, inciting the mania that kick-started Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken’s ‘Sandwich of the Month’ series, which is now an eagerly anticipated event at each of the locations. A veritable leviathan, the Smorgasbird combines two classic Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken cutlets, caramelized pineapple, shredded lettuce, tomato, crunchy pickled cucumbers, Blue Ribbon special sauce, and, finally, Game Day Fries (fries with BBQ pulled chicken, aged cheddar, sour cream, smoked bacon, and pickled peppers) – all wedged between two toasted buns.

The Smorgasbird is available throughout the month of July at all Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken locations for $15.00, with $5 of proceeds from each sandwich going to the National MS Society.
